Summary

Acquisition of Civil Engineering services within the scope of the Project for the connection of the Green and Yellow Lines, Rato - Cais do Sodré (Circular Line, of the Lisbon Metro)

The new works are intended to connect two previously separate lines, West of Campo Grande Station allowing the creation of a new circular line that integrates the paths of the two previously independent lines.

For this purpose, and since all these new connections will cross over The Av. Padre Cruz, part of a bus terminal and acesses, and a branch of the road junction between the segunda circular expressway and the Av. Padre Cruz, it uses two new viaducts:
• One with about 430m diverting the current Yellow line to the North and connecting Telheiras with Campo Grande Station
• a second viaduct with about 160m deviating the current Green Line from the existing viaduct and diverting it to the existing Yellow Line

The project was developed so construction work is done without interruption of service on both existing lines until the switch operation can be performed, and also minimizing the conditioning of the existing roadways under the viaducts., which gives a peculiar a degree of demand for construction work in terms of available construction systems, constructive planning and phasing.
