Summary

The Igarapava shaft is divided into 6 main levels. The internal structure is circular with a diameter of 22m and a depth of 30m. The structure is intersected by the circular underground tunnel (Ø10,33m) of line 4 of the Rio de Janeiro subway system.

The design of the structure was particularly influenced due to the need to allow the TBM to pass through the tunnel during construction of the well.

The structure of the story is mixed with steel framing and concrete slabs.
